First finisher for the Girls was 7th grader Sedona Smith (52nd - 13:32) with 6th grader Lucy Denton (58th - 13:35) close behind. Rounding out the top five for the Girls were 7th grader Rosie Godfrey (146th - 14:29), 8th grader Gemma Listwan (153rd - 14:38) and 7th grader Hailey Lane (173rd - 14:59). Also running for the Girls were 6th grader Ariella Ely (186th - 15:15) and 7th grader Mia Thompson (204th - 15:59). Alternates on the Sectional and State team were 8th grader Brailynn Galli (team captain), 8th grader Olivia Campbell and 6th grader Korbin Down. There were 222 finishers in the Class 2A Girls race. This concludes a very successful season for the Girls. They were the Girls champion at both of the SCJH home meets (Rebel Rush and Rebel Rally). Their biggest accomplishment was winning the IESA Class 2A Sectional to become the first team from SCJH to qualify for State. Sadly we have to say good-bye to our 8th graders. They are Levi Sparks (3 year team member), Brailynn Galli (3 years), Gemma Listwan (3 years), Cloie Jones (3 years) and Olivia Campbell (1 year). We thank them for being members of the SCJH XC team and providing a lot of great memories. We wish them the best as they continue into high school. You all will be missed!!
